Is the tradition of Hanukkah dying?
I am just wondering because the Hanukkah category has a new question every couple of hours while the Christmas category has a new question every couple of minutes. It just seems like Hanukkah is being ignored or something.
If it is, I can see why. Nobody in my family is really religious anymore. We celebrate Hanukkah, Passover, and Rosh Hashanah. My grandmother makes hamantaschen cookies for Purim. However, we never go to temple and I feel as though the traditions will start to fade once the elders in the family pass away. I am not a very religious person myself. We even have a Hanukkah bush for the children in the family and to be honest I don’t oppose. I love the spirit of Christmas. In the end, I believe in God but other than celebrating the holidays with the family I don’t really classify with a specific religion.
