How soon and for how long do you leave Hanukkah decor out?

I’d like to put out my wintery-themed Hanukkah decorations right after Thanksgiving (USA) and take it all down after New Year’s Day or maybe longer. My child is preschool aged and loves the festivity.
What is YOUR time limit for Hanukkah decorations and how much decorating do you do?
How much of your decorating isn’t strictly hanukkah-themed (pine boughs/swags/wreaths, snowmen, snowflakes, cut-out cookies)?

Making Homemade Chocolates and cookies?

i aint got the money to get ALL my friends gifts so i wanna make homemade chocolates and Christmas cookies.

to make the choco, can i just melt chocolate chips?
And wat about colors? wuld it be ok to put food coloring in the white chocolate?
and wat if i wanna make it sweeter? is it ok 2 put sugar in it? is powdered sugar ok? is white or brown better? duz it even make a difference?

Need info on freezing cookies and fudge.?

Since I retired, I make about 800 cookies and about 25 lbs of fudge and truffles each Chrismas for friend and relitives. Most of this is done about 6 days before Chrismas which involves long days and nights preparing and baking. I’am getting too old for this! I do make some cookie dough and freeze it before baking; but I have never frozen a baked cookie, prepared fudge or truffles.

My old bones will appreciate your advice.

How long will my holiday cookies last if i make them today?

I don’t have much time to bake when I come home from work and I will be giving out my holiday cookies starting this Thursday.
If I make them this evening, will they be ok for everyone to eat within the next two weeks. I’m baking peanut butter cookies (the ones from the Betty Crocker mix).
