Christmas is becoming a burden….what should I do?

Cristmas is the 12nd time like this: stressful and nerve racking! My whole family is screaming at each other, yelling, being stubborn, and nervous. We can’t get a long! It’s been a week and with hte ice storm and cleaning the lawn, baking cookies, getting presents, setting up the tree, cleaning the house, perparing plans for the new year, cooking Christmas dinner and all the holidday buzz it is just getting unbearable!

Everyone in my family now views Chrismas as the biggest obstacle of the year adn I don’t want it to be like that. The problem is, if one person sees it this way we all do. How should make it more fun and pleasurable for everyone???? I mean this year we got a teeny tiny tree and put maybe 20 ornaments on it all together just ofr the sake of having a tree. And we ididn’t even decorate it all together. Just me and my sister.

I don’t knolw what to do??? Any ideas?

Need a cool project name?

I’m starting a fundraising project that involves baking cookies with some underprivileged kids and selling them as some cute chrismas gifts. Now we’re probably appealing to the very demanding teen market, so we’re trying to make the whole project really trendy and we need a pretty smart name. Anyone has any suggestions?

with the holidays coming soon?

What do you do for your dogs? Do you buy them presents ect.

I usually get mine bones from the butcher for thanksgiving, and I make them dog biscuits/cookies for Chrismas. I also get stockings for them with new toys and maybe a few extra treats?

Do you do anything special for yours? Any traditions you have with yours? My fiance likes to make my Malamute a igloo out of snow in the winter~~My mal loves it!!
It isn’t like I think my dogs actually care~ if I didn’t have the money to do what I do then I wouldn’t do it one year. But I love the looks on their faces….like its the best day they have ever had and they can’t believe they have so many great toys……then they usually play with the old toys lol and leave the new ones alone.
howpathetic~ 2 months is consitered soon when you have 2 children under the age of 7. I remember being younger and thinking people were crazy for shopping in Nov, and planning in Nov cuz Christmas was so far away….then I grew up and got engaged to a man with 2 children which I help raise and will be adopting and realized that 2 months isn’t much time at all. Especially since I feel like summer just ended.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HOPE YOU HAVE GREAT HOLIDAYS!!!!

do you have any Christmas eve, and Chrismas day traditions?

for me… Christmas Eve – finish wrapping remaining presents while listening to christmas carols and drinking hot chocolate. eat a nice dinner with my sister, my brother, my mother and my mothers bf, then church service, home, read christmas books to my siblings, lay out cookies for santa and scatter oatmeal and carrots out on the lawn for the reindeer, lay stockings out for santa, and when the littles are in bed, me and my mother discuss how lovely the year has been while drinking lots of hot chocolate. (maybe go down to be an elf and pass out presents to the less fortunate )
CHRISTMAS – open santa presents. finish preparing food, family comes over, then great big lunch, open lots of presents and chat the rest of the day. what do you do??????
